Brush Gold Plating (On-Site Gold Plating)
Targeted electroplating method enabling selective area deposition and seamless on-site architectural finishing.
Process Overview
Brush gold plating is an advanced method of electroplating that allows selective plating of specific areas on an item without full tank immersion. With brush plating, an application handle fitted with a cotton application sleeve is dipped into the specialized gold plating solution, which is absorbed and carried directly in the sleeve.
During operation, a negative (-) common lead is securely attached to the item being plated, while a positive (+) lead is plugged into the application handle. When the gold plating solution is 'brushed' onto the item, the electrical circuit is completed and the gold molecularly bonds to the item precisely in the contact area. This enables delicate on-site restoration and selective embellishment of installed fixtures.
Applications & Suitable Objects
